The ITV soap revealed ahead of Monday's episode that detective Lisa Swain will discover that Rob is having an affair with prison guard Mandy, with the the illicit couple plotting his escape while he waits to donate his kidney at the hospital.
At the weekend, rumours of a brutal shooting hit the soap, with an insider telling The Sun that the shooting will occur after Rob takes Carla hostage.
In a brand new trailer for next weeks, fans see that Rob is willing to go to any length to escape from prison - and will be violent to get what he wants.
