Cristiano Ronaldo has urged Al-Nassr to sign Manchester United star Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder is one of a number of players that the Red Devils would be willing to sell. They are very keen to get his huge wages off of the balance sheet at Old Trafford.
Saudi Arabia has been regularly touted as an option for the former Real Madrid star, with a host of clubs expressing their interest in him and Al-Nassr chief among them. A move would see him reunited with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo - who left Old Trafford in explosive fashion back in 2022.
And it appears that the Portuguese veteran is doing everything in his power to get a deal over the line. According to reports, Ronaldo has made a personal plea to club chiefs to seal Casemiro’s signature. United boss Ruben Amorim has already approved a sale, with the vast majority of the underperforming Red Devils’ squad available at the right price.
Casemiro, 32, has made 105 appearances for the club since his arrival from Real Madrid. He has 18 months left on his lucrative Old Trafford contract. His performances this season have garnered criticism, with some slamming his lack of speed - something that Amorim claims he can sympathise with. Speaking after the recent defeat to Newcastle, he said: “I can understand the criticism and I understand if you compare the pace of the midfielders from Newcastle and our pace I understand that.
