Cycling team rushed to hospital after being hit by car

Six members of the German cycling team have been hospitalised after an elderly man drove "head-on" into them. The country's endurance track team were training in Mallorca when the incident took place on Monday. They had headed out from their hotel in Palma for a ride when they were hit by a car after 1.7 miles (2.7km).
The driver, an 89-year-old man, failed to see the group coming and rammed them head-on, German Cycling said in a statement. The national coach Lucas Schadlich had been accompanying the group in his car and witnessed the accident. Be the first to get Breaking News.
