David De Gea rubbed salt into Manchester City wounds with his hilarious reaction to Sunday's result. Manchester United earned a dramatic 2-1 victory on Sunday evening. Ruben Amorim's men had found themselves 1-0 behind after Josko Gvardiol's opener. But a penalty from Bruno Fernandes and Amad's late winner secured victory for the visitors. And De Gea made sure to make his feelings known come the final whistle come the full-time whistle.
Taking to Twitter, the former United keeper wrote: "I've seen this movie before," alongside two red emojis. Red Devils fans were full of praise for De Gea's post. One supporter said in response: "United through and through, we love you David," while another said: "We miss you bro, Man United legend!!".
De Gea of course enjoyed his own success in the Manchester derby during his time at Old Trafford. The now 34-year-old appeared on 28 occasions against City during his time with the Red Devils, winning ten times. His most recent Premier League outing against City also ended in success - a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford, a game in which Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored late on to secure a dramatic win after Jack Grealish's opener. United's win at the Etihad will have gone a long way to making De Gea feel a lot better about his own defeat at the weekend. His current side Fiorentina slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Bologna.
