Paddy Bever is the latest Coronation Street star to have his exit confirmed from the ITV soap. The young actor took over the role as Max Turner in 2021. Adopted son of David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), Max is currently involved in a storyline with girlfriend Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

The new mum was responsible for murdering Joel Deering (Calum Lill) last year. After the death, Max helped Lauren throw Joel’s body into a river. At first, Max planned to take the fall for Lauren so she wasn’t separated from her son Frankie. Unfortunately, as Shona (Julia Goulding) and David learnt the truth, it wasn’t long until Kit (Jacob Roberts) arrested Lauren.

Paddy is one in a long line of Corrie cast members departing the ITV soap this year. With his final scenes due to air in the coming weeks, it’s very possible his exit will happen at the same time as the Platt house fire.

Metro previously revealed how a major fire was being filmed, with pictures showing the Platt house ablaze. With David finding himself embroiled in Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) dangerous world, could he lose his son in the middle of this feud?. Producer Kate Brooks has certainly fuelled this theory, previously saying: ‘It all goes to pot! David has stolen a big old bag of cash from Harvey, which was the wrong move. He’s done it for the house and the family, but this escalates massively.
