Declan Rice claims Arsenal "were unlucky not to score ten" as they edged past Tottenham in the north London derby. The Gunners completed the double over their arch rivals with Leandro Trossard's strike in the first half proving the winner as Arsenal came from a goal down to pick up a 2-1 win and the three points. Tottenham meanwhile continued to play with their usual attacking approach.

That did prove costly as they gave the ball away for the winner as they attempted to play out from their defensive third. Arsenal had numerous chances to make the game safe in the second half as they took advantage of how open their opponents were. Tottenham's defence has long been cited as an issue with Ange Postecoglou seeing his side enjoy just one clean sheet in their last nine games with Rice frustrated Arsenal only breached them on two occasions.

He said on TNT Sports: "You could tell tonight meant more than anything, the first 45 mins was pure dominance. We showed that intent, that pressure, that desire. To be honest we're unlucky we didn't score ten, that's the feeling.". Discussing the derby atmosphere he added: "You don't need a message when you play Spurs you know what it means to the fans, if you're a player and you can't get up for Spurs then you shouldn't be playing football. That fire in your belly and we had that tonight.
