Following Donald Trump's presidential inauguration on Monday, Demi, 32, has taken to social media to offer a message of support to her online followers, as well as the non-binary and transgender community.
In view of her 154 million followers, the Heart Attack hitmaker said: "If you are trans or nonbinary like me, please know that I see you, I feel you, I am with you, you are validated, you are loved and you are not alone.
Her emotional post comes after scandal-hit Trump stated that his administration will only recognise two sexes, male and female.
The mandate will apply to all official documents including passports and visas, based on the individuals "immutable biological classification as either male or female.".
