Grieving fans of The Vivienne have been sickened following an American drag artist posting a string of offensive social media posts in relation to the late star's untimely passing. The Vivienne, the first RuPaul's Drag Race UK winner, has been hailed as "a beacon to so many" after their death aged 32. The entertainer, born James Lee Williams, has been mourned across the world since their PR manager Simon Jones announced they had died on Sunday night.

But amid the wave of online tributes, American drag artist Tyra decided to drag up one of The Vivienne's old tweets from 2010 as they shared a bizarre attack on the late star in view of their 1,326 followers on Twitter (X). Tyra, previously also known via the stage names King Tyra and Tyra Sanchez, won the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2010.

In 2020, The Vivienne tweeted: "Bet Tyra was fuming when she realised Netflix spoiled the win too. Sorry gal. You tried though." The tweet was in reference to the streaming platform of Shea Couleé with her All Stars 5 crown to promote the season’s finale. On Monday, Tyra quote-tweeted The Vivenne's old tweet with: "Yet it doesn’t compare to the fumes of the crematorium.".

Amid the backlash from both fans and stars of Drag Race, Tyra double down and went on to fume: "Calling for a crown/title that I could give two fu**s about is stupid. You’re the only ones caught up in that fairytale. It means absolutely nothing. Y’all been hollering 15min for 15 years.

"F**k that crown. F**k @RuPaul Fuck @RuPaulsDragRace F**k @WorldOfWonder and f**k you too! They troll. Hanging around with bated breath waiting for the next tweet. They reply instantly with their hate garnering more attention while increasing the reach of each previous tweet. Yet I’m delusional? You can’t help yourselves. I get it. silly rabbits.".
