Eamonn Holmes has shared a public gesture of support for Ruth Langsford after she revealed some worrying news. The former This Morning presenters, both 64, announced they were splitting earlier this year after 14 years of marriage. At the time, it was claimed work commitments had resulted in them drifting in different directions, though they’ve since said very little about their split.
While Eamonn has revealed his relationship with his new girlfriend, with the latest reports suggesting he plans on marrying her, Ruth indicated their divorce proceedings were not going ‘well’ and had reportedly hired a ‘fierce’ divorce lawyer.
However, the GB News presenter has now made a public gesture of support, liking an Instagram post of Ruth’s. The Loose Women star revealed on Monday that her mum, who is about to turn 93, had been hospitalised, sharing a video of her dancing in the kitchen and writing: ‘No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas….she’s had a fall and fractured her pelvis!.
‘She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. ‘She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon. ‘This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well…she’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too.
