EastEnders fans reckon they know who killed Cindy Beale after the bombshell two-parter on Christmas Day. In shocking scenes, Cindy, played by Michelle Collins, 62, was slayed by a spade after her affair with Junior Knight was finally revealed and her hapless partner, Ian Beale, threw her out.
Scheming Cindy's scandalous affair with Junior (Micah Balfour), the son of her former husband George Knight (Colin Salmon), was exposed through an audio recording played to the entire pub. Ian (Adam Woodyatt) was heartbroken to discover his partner's betrayal and boredom with their relationship while George was appalled to learn about Cindy's bunk-up with his son.
One by one, the Walford residents, including Cindy's daughters Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry) and son Peter (Thomas Law), turned against her. Even Ian saw through the blonde bombshell's lies and evicted her, leaving her distraught. But as the episode neared its end, events took a shocking twist. With nowhere else to go, Cindy found herself wandering around the square when out of nowhere a faceless killer picked up a metal spade and ended the minx's days in Walford for good.
Following the explosive scenes, viewers flocked to social media wondering if Cindy's daughters Anna or Gina may be involved in her death. However, other eagle-eyed fans suspect distant daughter Cindy Jr (Mimi Keene) is responsible. Speculation is rife in EastEnders circles, with one fan declaring on a Facebook page dedicated to the show: "Cindy Junior was the slayer...." Another agreed, saying: "I was thinking this too." A third person added enthusiastically: "I would love this! ".
