Notorious EastEnders villain Nish Panesar had his last laugh at the expense of his family weeks on from his death – after his will was read out. On Wednesday night's EastEnders, viewers saw the final wishes of Nish after the family gathered for the villain's will reading. However, in true Nish fashion, he plotted one last act of revenge against his son Ravi, before his 'affair' with Denise was exposed.

Ravi was left shocked when he learnt Bernie is the trustee of Nish's businesses until his grandchildren are of age to take over. Originally, Ravi – who is the father to Nish's grandchildren – was meant to be the trustee, although he was told his father "had a change of heart" towards the end. But that wasn't all. Nish had left one final act of revenge for son Ravi, as he leaves his personal money to be split between Vinny and Ash, cutting him out completely – and cementing the awful message that Nish never saw Ravi as a legitimate son. A day after their kiss, an upset Ravi was consoled by Priya who rested her hand on his leg while they conversed on a bench in the square.

Once again, Priya tried to kiss her ex but, to her shock, Ravi admitted he was seeing someone else. "It's serious," he said. "I'm sorry I can't do this. Not again," before walking away from a teary Priya. Later trying to make amends with Denise Fox, Ravi then climbed in through her window to give her a rose and apologise for his ways. As he vowed to stay on the right path and promised not to keep their love a secret any longer, Denise accepted Ravi's proposal to become his partner. However, Bernie was in the way once again, as she announced to Kim and the family she had seen a burglar climb through their window, unaware it was actually Ravi.

It wasn't long before the rest of the Square found out, as they came rushing to protect Denise – and Denise's ex-husband Jack Branning rushed out of his hot tub to rescue Denise. When it was Ravi who emerged from the house, residents including Priya, Jack and Chelsea looked on in shock. "So she's the someone else then, yeah?," asked Priya. Deciding not to hold it in any longer, Ravi explained: "I'm in love with Denise, alright? We're together.".

"You and him?!" questioned a disgusted Chelsea upon realising her mother was with her ex. "You can't be serious mum.". It comes just weeks before viewers will get to have their say on whether Denise chooses Jack or Ravi during the highly anticipated 40th anniversary live episode. For the first time ever, viewers will get to choose their outcome, which will be revealed during the live episode airing on February 20th.
