Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) relationship with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) has been exposed to all of her nearest and dearest in EastEnders. The pair have been engaging in a secret fling for months and finally made it official in tonight’s episode, but it could be all over before it’s even begun. Denise was eager to keep things on the down-low until she worked out a way she could tell daughter Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams), and only Ravi’s son Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) was privy to the information.

She’s also given herself some contemplation time, whilst she battles her feelings for ex-husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen). It’s ironic that Denise has such a big decision to make, given it’s the viewers who will actually decide which man she settles on in the forthcoming 40th anniversary live episode. Ravi had his own dilemma, as his ex Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) confessed her feelings for him earlier in the week, and the two shared a kiss.

She’s continued to make her affection known, telling him to consider giving things another go. Across the Square, Jack had just bought a new hot tub for the garden and had a flirty exchange with Denise. This was picked up upon by Chelsea, who told her mum that she needed to quash the spark and remember that he cheated on her. After hearing that his father had left him nothing in his will, Ravi retired to the gardens and broke down.

Priya rushed over to comfort him and was devastated to learn that he couldn’t commit to a new relationship with her because he had another woman. She was visibly upset as he walked off. Realising that it was now time to allow the world to know about his romance with Denise, he bought her a rose and headed to her house. She was busy hoovering and blasting music as Jack video called her to invite her for a dip in the hot tub.

After laughing off his suggestion, she turned up the radio and was unaware that Ravi was knocking on the front door. In a spur of the moment, he climbed in through the window and surprised her. Everyone gathered to see who the mystery intruder was… only for Ravi to emerge. Realising that they had no means to explain what had happened, they confessed everything as the residents reeled.
