Tim Sherwood was left shocked as Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly received a straight red card against Wolves. Lewis-Skelly was dismissed by Michael Oliver for a challenge on defender Matt Doherty inside the Wolves half. The incident occurred with two minutes of normal time remaining at the end of the first half at Molineux.
Arsenal then made an alteration ahead of the second half, with left-back Riccardo Calafioiri coming on for Ethan Nwaneri. Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, former Tottenham player and manager Sherwood said: 'I am still reeling from it, I can’t believe Michael Oliver has sent him off!!'.
Many fans were also livid at the decision, with one describing it as 'outrageous'. Tim Sherwood was left shocked as Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off against Wolves. Lewis-Skelly was controversially penalised for his challenge on Wolves defender Matt Doherty.
Sherwood stated he was 'still reeling' from Michael Oliver's decision to send Lewis-Skelly off. They wrote: 'I’ve never seen a red card like the one Lewis-Skelly just got. That is outrageous'. Meanwhile, another user wrote: 'When Tim Sherwood says it’s a yellow at most you know it’s a bad decision'.

Piers Morgan also gave his verdict on events, describing the decision as 'ridiculous'. He wrote: 'FFS… another absolutely ridiculous red card. Lewis-Skelly sent off for a trip, just a nonsense decision'.
