Former Norwich City player dies aged 26 Former Norwich City academy player Devonte Aransibia has died aged 26.
"Although Devonte was only with us for a relatively short time, like all players past and present, he was welcomed into the Maidstone United family and all those who met him and watched him play will mourn the loss of someone so young.
Norwich City said there will be a "period of applause" for their former player before their Sky Bet Championship fixture against Preston North End and all staff will wear black armbands.
The footballer's death was confirmed by Norwich, which he left in 2019, and Maidstone United, which he had played for since May 2023.
Bill Williams, director of football at Maidstone United, said: "We are shocked and saddened by the news of Devonte's passing.
