Mr Sunak, who owns a £7.2m pad in sunny Santa Monica, will also take up a separate job at Oxford University. The Oxford role will see him join the Blavatnik School as a Distinguished Fellow. The ex-PM won’t be paid for either roles. The former PM will undertake while continuing his role as an MP.

But he will bag expenses from Stanford. Millionaire Mr Sunak said: “Oxford and Stanford shaped my life, and I look forward to contributing to their world-class work addressing the challenges and the technological opportunities of our time.”. Mr Sunak married millionaire Akshata Murthy in 2009.- but he also made his fortune from his years in banking.
