FROM food to make-up and home appliances, you can get all sorts of freebies as a product tester. You usually get to keep everything you test so it’s a great way to bag items without spending a penny. Here are some of the different firms you can currently register with . . .
HEINZ BABIES: Heinz is looking for babies to join its food testing panel and offering a six months’ supply of food to successful applicants. This includes sample jars, pouches and snacks from the Heinz Baby Food range. Tots need to be six-15 months old and you have until February 14 to apply. See the brand’s Instagram page @HeinzforBabyUK.
BOOTS: The volunteer panel tests brands including No7, Soltan and Botanics and give feedback before products hit the shelves. As well as testing, you can take part in focus groups part of the concept stage. Apply at bootsvolunteers.com. Volunteers are made up of people of different ages, genders, ethnicities and skin types so it depends on where there are gaps as to if you’ll be accepted.
AGENCIES: As well as individual brands looking for testers, there are also agencies that send out products on their behalf. These firms will send out freebies for you to test in exchange for your opinions. Clicks Research works with brands including Liz Earle, Sanctuary and, Marks and Spencer.
