Dad comes home from Tesco weekly shop with nine items that leave people in stitches

People have been left in stitches after a dad came home with a "proper blokey dad shop" after going to the supermarket for his family. The food shop is one of those tasks we have to do every week to stock up on our essentials. Some people love going around the aisles picking out what they will prepare for meals, and others hate it. As we can get distracted by shiny packaging and our favourite snacks, many people take a list so they don't forget the important food items for their diet.
One dad clearly didn't bring a list with him when he told his daughter he was getting a food shop recently. He came back from Tesco with a random assortment of nine items, which people have dubbed as a typical dad shop. It comes as his daughter shared a snap on X recently via her account @kiwiilauren, which has raked in over 1.6million views. The daughter, known as Loz, said: "Please look at this food shop my just did.".
The dad picked up a loaf of Warburtons bread, Heinz sandwich spread, two packets of peanuts in different flavours, milk chocolate peanuts, a packet of Uncle Joe's mint balls sweets, a six pack of BBQ sauce Walkers crisps, some Roland's fig rolls, and a six pack of Brewdog's Black Heart beer. Loz added: "To confirm everyone's suspicions, he is a Guinness drinks but got the Brewdog because they were on offer." She joked: "Wonder how upset he will be if I pinch those chocolate peanuts.".
People rushed to comment, with many applauding the dad. "All the essentials covered there," said one. "100% approval," added another. "Solid week lined up," said another. "Only the necessities," joked one other. Another noted: "No, but fig rolls and peanuts are definitely a dad thing." "He would get on so well with my dad," said another. One other individual who commented dubbed the haul a "proper blokey dad shop", and another branded it a "bloke dinner".
One other related, and said: "This could honestly be my dad's food shop. Incredible what men from that era can survive on. Four cans could get through a plague.". Another said: "A stout, a sandwich, some crisps, some snacks. I see no problem." One other added: "What is older people's obsession with Heinz sandwich spread, it looks FOUL.". While the dad's food haul may be just snacks for the week, the NHS advises people to eat five fruits and vegetables every day, as well as some starchy foods with high fibre or wholegrains, in order to maintain good health and feel your best.
