MORE than 100 bank branches are set to close in 2025 dishing another blow to communities reliant on their services. Customers will see selected hubs from Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland disappear from the High Street next year. Branches will close for good in towns and cities including Belfast, Leeds, Southampton and Warwick.

There have been a huge 6,000 closures of bank and building society branches since 2015. That's a rate of 54 each month with the amount available now half that of a decade ago. Since 2022 alone, there have been 1,500 branch closures announced, according to data from ATM provider LINK.
Closures mean customers have to travel further to access services, which can be tricky for elderly or vulnerable people. Here we detail all the branches scheduled to close next year, separated out by provider. The closures come as more customers use online banking to manage their finances.
Banks have closed down sites that to help cut their costs. However, around 39% of people over 65 were found to not use online banking and were at "high risk of financial exclusion" as result of closures.
