Fury as British Airways passengers can’t check in online for flights with app and site both down

British Airways passengers have reported being unable to check-in online amid reports of an app and website outage. Passengers slammed the “disgraceful” service online as more than 500 people reported issues with the airline’s site, according to website DownDetector.
One customer said online: “Is it not more than a little incompetent to launch a flash sale only to have your website crash again? It’s a waste of time going on.”. Another said: “Your technology is an industry laughing stock. Yet again I can’t check in via your app because ‘there is a problem.’”.
In response to customers’ complaints, BA said it was “looking into” the technical issue and added: “We're sorry you're having problems with online check-in. “Please try again later or collect your boarding pass at the airport.”. The message adds: "Welcome to ba.com.
