Gary Neville tells Ruben Amorim he needs 'two unique players' in Man Utd demand Gary Neville believes Manchester United need to sign "two unique players" in order for Ruben Amorim's system to work.
And Neville believes the wing-back role is "fundamental" to the success of Amorim's tactics and that United need to sign two players who can "attack and defend equally as good" in the position".
When asked which positions United should target in the transfer market, Neville told Sky Sports: "I could say centre-forward, let's get a world-class centre-forward, let's get Isak in, but that's never going to happen.
"So you need two quite unique players in those wide areas, and I think that will be the starting point.
If you don't have the wing-backs functioning up and down that are able to attack and defend equally as good, and there aren't many of those around, by the way, because there aren't many teams that play wing-back, then you're going to struggle.
