Fans are now hoping that an acclaimed musician will be part of the line-up for next year's Glastonbury Festival after he shared an update on his music career with them this week. Tom Misch, 29, revealed recently that he will release his fourth album next year, after dropping his new extended play Six Songs on Friday. He shared the news on Instagram and there's now excitement over the prospect of a tour.

And there's even speculation that the Ivor Novello Award nominee could perform at Glastonbury whilst promoting the album. The five-day festival, which is held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, will run from June 25 to 29 next year. Tom was announced as part of the line-up for the festival in 2020 alongside collaborator Yussef Dayes, with whom he released the album What Kinda Music. The festival ended up being cancelled amid the Covid pandemic though.

Following the news of him releasing an album next year, some fans speculated about him potentially finally getting to perform at Glastonbury in a thread on Reddit this week. The poster wrote: "With Tom Misch due to release an album in 2025, could this mean he will be on the lineup? He was supposed to play in 2020 with Yussef Dayes and obviously never in the end due to Covid so this could be a highly likely rumour imo!".

The post has more than a dozen upvotes and others discussed the possibility in the comments. One fan commented: "I think he's nailed tbh, new album coming out soon." Another reacted to the post: "Fingers crossed!" Someone else suggested: "Set on a main stage followed by a super shy slot in one of Arcadia or levels please." Whilst another fan said: "I wish been wanting to see him for years.".
