Gregg Wallace's fitness and healthy eating empire has been branded a 'scam' with 'horrific' customer service after customers claimed they struggled to get refunds and cancel their monthly membership. The shamed Masterchef star, 60, set up Gregg Wallace.Health after he himself shed five stone, with the business offering recipes, advice from experts and frozen ready deliveries. Following his exit from the BBC cookery show last year amid a probe into alleged sexual misconduct, the company slashed prices and offered customers £40 off an annual subscription.

The website reads: 'Ready to transform your health and feel your best? – no risks, just results. Cancel anytime'. However in recent weeks fans who signed up have furiously taken to review bible Trustpilot and claimed they are being incorrectly charged and are struggling to get their money back. One customer fumed: 'What a scam. I cancelled my membership when they changed apps. However [it] managed to do an auto renewal of my membership and deducted an annual subscription for a non functioning App. Getting no reply on their email for a refund. Customer service terrible and would not recommend them'.

While a second wrote: 'Renewed my membership and took the money without any warning, tried to resolve amicably many times but the customer service was horrific and unprofessional. AVOID THESE BANDITS AT ALL COSTS!!!'. Another said: 'They took membership renewal money with no notice and are ignoring my daily emails to get it back'. And: 'Renewed my membership without 7 days notice, just took £89.99 from my bank account. I have emailed them twice and so far no reply. I do not use the site, don't find it useful and would like my money back'.

While someone else added : 'Absolutely sick of this company. Cancelled a 6 monthly repeat unauthorised subscription 6 months ago, after many hours chasing emails managed to get a refund on the condition that I removed any negative reviews! All persona data should be removed from GWH on cancellation yet I received another email to inform me my subscription is about to renew again!. 'Unable to speak to anyone, have left numerous chat messages with no response and suspect another £49 will be taken from my bank account without approval leaving me having to spend hours again trying to pursue a refund. Come on GWH get your act together.'.

With yet another unhappy customer adding: 'Like others, payment of £89.99 taken without any notice, tried to contact them several times but have only had an automated response telling me that they are busy and will get back in due course and to read their No Refund policy. I do not use the site and would also like my money back. REALLY POOR/NO customer service. AVOID.'. A spokesperson for Gregg Wallace Health told MailOnline: 'The membership renewal policy is very clear and we send out reminder notices by email before any money is taken. Anyone who feels they've been incorrectly charged should contact us and we'll be happy to resolve the situation.

It comes after Gregg's wife Anna Wallace shared a quote in a rare post amid her husband's sexual misconduct probe. While her partner keeps his head down amid the scandal, Anna took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a sweet message as she seemingly tries to keep a positive outlook. The quote read: 'Hello Tuesday. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.'. Anna, who shares five-year-old son Sid with Gregg, has not yet publicly addressed any claims made against her husband.

It comes days after Gregg surprised viewers with a return to TV since leaving MasterChef amid historical misconduct allegations. He appeared recently on Channel 5 in a rerun of 90-minute documentary Beast from the East: The Big Freeze of 2018. The show, which first aired in 2023, looks back at when Britain was in the midst of the icy grip of the Siberian storm which wreaked havoc on the country and caused temperatures to plunge to -11C and 20inches of snow to fall in some areas.
