GREGGS is a high-street staple who have become synonymous with sausage rolls. The chain of bakeries will be adjusting their opening hours over the festive period, meaning you might want to head over soon if you want one of their mince pies. Greggs first launched in 1951, after being founded by John Gregg.

After expanding rapidly throughout the twentieth century, it acquired the Bakers Oven chain in 1994 and took over their 165 stores. By 2011, there were 1,500 branches of Greggs and that number has since rocketed to 2,500. Normally, their stores open at 6:30am and remain open to 6pm.

However, they will be adjusting their hours for Christmas to give their bakers some time off. Opening times will vary from location to location, but most Greggs will close on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Check in-store or on the Greggs app for more information about when your local Greggs will close for Christmas.
Greggs have also announced that they would be bringing back some seasonal classics for Christmas. Their sweet mince pies are always a hit with fans of the bakery and their orange hot chocolate is the perfect way to warm up on a winter afternoon. Over the years, Greggs has also worked to offer more options to vegans and have unveiled two Christmas-themed vegan dishes.
The first is a vegan turkey-free sandwich and the second is their spicy veg curry bake. Greggs isn't the only high street brand to shake things up for Christmas. Costa have announced that they will also be closing their doors on Deceber 25, alongside Boots and B&Q.
