Grimes has revealed that she is happy to denounce her ex-partner and father of her three children, Elon Musk. The Tesla and X owner, 53, shocked fans with a dramatic salute during a speech at Trump’s inauguration. The billionaire signed off a speech by slapping his hand to his heart before shooting out his right arm at an upward angle, with his fingers together and his palm facing down.
The move was allegedly a ‘Roman salute’ but many pointed out that the gesture resembled a Nazi salute. The action caused immediate controversy and fans looked towards his ex-partner Grimes to speak out about Musk. The singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, 36, replied to a comment on X that criticised her silence, and said she was ‘happy to denounce Nazi-ism.’.

In response, the singer replied: ‘I’m happy to denounce Nazi-ism – and the far alt-right. Would that help clear things up?’. She attributed her silence to her busy schedule: ‘I’ve just gotten out of breakfast and have to catch a flight, and am still debating how to approach things diplomatically because I feel in over my head.
