Elon Musk's ex-girlfriend Grimes issues furious statement on 'Nazi salute' at Trump inauguration

Elon Musk's ex-partner Grimes has slammed his Nazi salute at Donald Trump's inauguration. The SpaceX CEO, 53, made gestures as he appeared at Washington DC's Capital One Arena after his pal, scandal-hit Trump had been sworn in as president for the second time. Addressing the packed arena, the Tesla CEO said: "Elections come and go, some are important and some are not, but this one really mattered and I just want to say thank you for making it happen.".
Seconds after concluding his speech, the X owner left many completely speechless as he put his hand on his chest before stretching his arm out with an open hand. He made this gesture twice and many claimed that the had performed a fascist salute – very similar to those used by the Nazis and Adolf Hitler.
Users on X, which Musk purchased from Twitter even questioned his gesture. One wrote: "Did Elon Musk just do a Hitler salute." Another added: "holy s**t, elon musk just did the nazi salute on tv... at the president's inauguration..." One more user added: "Elon Musk casually doing a Hitler salute in front of millions. Right." Others have suggested he was merely gesturing that his "heart goes out" to the crowd.
Now, Canadian musician Grimes, who shares son, X Æ A-Xii, a daughter and another son with Musk has taken to X to share her views on the incident. When told by a fan it would benefit her to "clarify her stance," she responded: "I'm happy to denounce Nazi-ism - and the far alt right. Would that help clear things up? I've just gotten out of breakfast and have to catch a flight, and am still debating how to approach things diplomatically because I feel in over my head.
