Actress Helen Flanagan has today been disqualified from driving for six months after her car was caught speeding on two occasions in 17 days last summer. She argued that her footballer boyfriend Robbie Talbot is to blame. The mother of three, who first rose to fame as rebellious Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, was sentenced today after her Audi Q7 was seen speeding in Liverpool on July 10 and 26 last year. The former Coronation Street star, 34, attended Wirral Magistrates’ Court alongside her boyfriend after convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.
She had allegedly not responded to police notices asking her to identify who was driving her Audi Q7 at the times it was caught speeding on July 10 and July 26 in the Liverpool area. She was joined by her partner Robbie Talbot as she made her way inside the court this afternoon, cutting a glamorous figure in an all black ensemble. The former soap star wore he blonde tresses loose and carried a designer bag as Robbie walked along side her.
Bury-born Helen previously claimed that Robbie was at fault, explaining that she was "too busy as a working single mum" to remember whether or not she'd read court papers relating to the offences. During her first court appearance, Helen claimed her boyfriend Robbie, 45, was to blame as she was "too busy as a working single mum" and didn't remember if she had read the court papers. "I'm so confused. My life would be unbelievably difficult without a driving licence," she told the court.
