The man, seen wearing a pair of white Crocs, lost his balance and plunged straight into the water where a deadly shark attempted to bite his leg off.
THIS is the horror moment a bungling fisherman slipped on a rock and landed on top of a shark - narrowly escaping a fatal bite from the beast.
It comes after a man was airlifted to hospital after being attacked by a shark in waters off a popular tourist island.
However, the man suddenly slipped and plunged off the rock - and was seen landing on the shark's tail.
The man was treated at the scene before being flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition, a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokeswoman said.
