Trainer Mark Loughnane is in excellent form and this six-year-old was more than a little unlucky at Wolverhampton last time. He was coming with a rattle only to be badly hampered entering the final furlong. There wasn’t enough time to recover and he ended up three lengths back at the line. That was still a good effort and he moves into apprentice company now with a capable 3lb claimer in the saddle. That brings his mark down nicely and he can have a big say over a trip that suits.
LET’S GO JOE (3.35 Sedgefield, nb). Was impressive when scoring at Doncaster two runs ago. That’s the last time he tacked this trip and he simply didn’t stay three miles when midfield at Wetherby last time. The drop in trip can see him back in front from a fair 5lb higher than his latest victory. THE QUESTIONER (2.05 Sedgefield, treble). A late mistake proved costly when third at Wetherby 13 days ago and this better ground will be a help. He is more than capable of winning off this mark.
