How Premier League table could look if Chelsea are hit with PSR points deduction

Chelsea's hopes of finishing in the top four could be dashed if they are found guilty of breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). The Blues looked set for a title challenge before Fulham and Ipswich Town humbled them with shock defeats. Things could be made even worse, as Enzo Maresca's side face a nervous wait to find out if they have breached the division's PSR rules.
All Premier League clubs must send their latest financial results by close of business on New Year's Eve and the Blues, along with Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Everton, are believed to be at risk of a possible breach. Forest and Everton were both hit with points deductions last season, with the latter seeing eight points taken off their tally.
With the Blues understood to be at risk of a PSR penalty, Mirror Football has a look at what the West Londoners' worst case PSR scenario would be. In February, Everton were hit with a humongous 10-point deduction, which looked set to consign them to a first-ever Premier League relegation. Their penalty concerned PSR breaches within the three-year period to 2021-22.
This would be reduced to six points on appeal, but the Toffees would then be deducted a further two points for a breach of £16.6m for the three-year period to 2022-23. Chelsea will be in breach if they are found to have suffered losses of more than the £105m over a three-year period by the Premier League.
