AN iconic indie band is speculated to be joining the Glastonbury 2025 lineup - and fans are seriously freaking out. The popular music event held at Worthy Farm, which will run from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29 this summer, already has a slew of hit musicians and bands confirmed.
The Sun previously revealed that pop icons Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Olivia Rodrigo are all set to perform at Glastonbury next year. They join The 1975, Stevie Wonder and Neil Young who are due to perform on the Pyramid Stage. And now Japanese Breakfast is the latest band to be tipped to join the lineup for this summer's festival.
In a Glastonbury forum on Reddit, one user speculated: "Japanese Breakfast has just announced [a] new album and 2025 tour and there is a nice gap for Glasto, so I guess they are quite likely?". One fellow Redditer then commented: "They were on the schedule for Other on the Sunday in 2023 and cancelled last minute, replaced by Eaves Wilder (who did a great job on short notice).
"So it would be great to see JB this year, and hopefully they’ll be extra motivated given the previous no show.". A second then said: "Yeah I’ve predicted them for a while. hopefully!". While a third replied: "Guess that makes them even more likely! :)".
Another person then added: "If 1975 are playing I doubt it…". To which someone asked: "What's the tea there?!" before the original commenter replied: "Matty Healy being Matty Healy I believe.". "They're not gonna turn down the prestige of Glasto due to not liking a headliner," added someone else.
