A DIY enthusiast has revealed that after finding water damage in her home, she decided to give her living room a mega makeover, all whilst on a budget. So if the cost of living crisis has made your purse feel tighter than ever before and you’re looking for ways to cut costs without scrimping on style, then you’ve come to the right place.
Pamela Alexander, a savvy woman from the UK, used bargain buys from B&Q, Dunelm, eBay, The Range and Next, to turn her dark and wet living room into a big, beautiful space. Thrilled with her DIY overhaul, Pamela took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Pamela shared snaps of her living room, which is now something many of us could only dream of. Alongside the post, Pamela wrote: “Had water damage to my wall. “Couldn’t decide what to do with it when decorating so I panelled all the way round.
“I live in a flat and it was all done on a budget.”. Pamela then opened up to Fabulous about her DIY project and shared: “I’m always redoing my home, my style isn’t to everyone’s taste and I source a lot of what I do.”. Pamela confirmed that she used panelling strips from B&Q and has a “handyman who helps me with my ideas”.
