One woman sparked online debate after claiming her pregnant sister took the 'off limits' name she was going to call her future daughter - and asked if it was 'unreasonable' to expect her not to use it. The 35-year-old took to British parenting forum Mumsnet to explain her dilemma, revealing that she is currently going through the process of IVF to start a family.

She has been trying to conceive for about two years and has previously had Intrauterine insemination - however, she has had no luck. The poster had already picked out one name for a girl and another for a boy that she wanted to call her future babies.

But recently, she found out that her pregnant sister now wants to call her child the same name. She wrote: 'My older sister (39F) has two [children] and didn’t plan on anymore. She fell pregnant unexpectedly and initially was upset at the thought, since her two children are teenagers now.

'Over Christmas I had joked around my two names being off limits. I have had a boy and a girl's name picked for a few years, since [trying to conceive]. 'I am unsure if I have ever mentioned the names to her. She then said she is sure she is having a girl and she said the name I had picked out.
