Iconic snack shop to shut for good after 64 years leaving locals ‘so sad’ as closing date is confirmed AN iconic snack bar has called it quits after more than six decades leaving locals distraught.
On January 21, the snack bar took to Facebook telling patrons: "Breaking news... Andy's Snack Bar will close its doors for the final time within two months.
The snack bar has had to reiterate this point due to "high demand" with "people coming early" to get as much as they can while the food bar is open.
No reason for the closure has yet been issued by the snack bar and locals are already mourning the loss.
Andy's Snack Bar has been a permanent and beloved fixture of Southport since the 1960s.
