Many parents love naming their children unique monikers to help them stand out from the crowd - but sometimes, it's for all the wrong reasons. One woman, who works in healthcare, made a TikTok video of the "wildest names" she'd "seen in the hospital". One of them was unforgivable – but the parents laughed it off when confronted.

Alystina, who posts on TikTok as @zerohourliving, said that she and some of her colleagues had even struggled to pronounce the names as they were that outlandish. She said that the names were "especially" wild for "young people," and she said the first on her list was ABCDE - the first five letters of the alphabet. For those who don't know, it's pronounced 'Ab-Suh-Dee,' and she joked that the parents were "keeping things really easy for that child".

Another one, Alystina assumed was pronounced 'Leah,' because it was written Le-a. But it turns out the hyphen is pronounced as 'dash,' so the name was pronounced as 'Ledasha'. She then recalled: "Recently, we had a girl come into emergency, and the doctor was like,' How do you think we should pronounce this name?' So it was CVIIILYN, and I was like, 'Oh, that's easy; I really feel that would be pronounced like civilian'.

"So he goes out into the waiting room and he's like 'Civilian? Civilian?' and nothing. After a little bit, this girl stood up and was like, 'That's me, and I think that you mean Caitlin.'. "She then proceeded to tell everybody that she was pretty unimpressed and that the VIII in her name was actually Roman numerals, so that was an eight. So her name was Caitlin.".
