Molly-Mae Hague has come under fire from road safety charities for potentially risking a dangerous situation while driving. The influencer and former Love Island star, 25, has given fans a candid insight into her life as a business owner and single mum in a new Amazon Prime documentary.
Giving cameras a peek into her immaculate home, she opens up about her split from Tommy Fury, raising Bambi, and the toll opening Maebe took on her. Some parts of the docuseries, titled Molly-Mae: Behind It All, are a more light-hearted glimpse into her day-to-day life, including trips to McDonald’s.
At one point in the first episode, Molly-Mae tucks into some chicken nuggets after visiting the drive-thru, while on her way home in her luxury Mercedes. Having ordered her large Big Mac meal, with six chicken nuggets and a mozzarella dipper share box, she tells the camera: ‘I actually live to eat, so many people around me are just like, “I’ll just get the salad,” and I’m just like, that could never be me. If it’s salad with chips then yeah I’m on board.’.
As she says all this, she’s seen driving while eating her chicken nuggets, with one hand on the wheel. Her actions have now been condemned, with charities warning of the potential ‘devastating consequences’. A spokesperson for road safety charity IAM RoadSmart, Harriet Hernando, said in a statement to MailOnline: While it’s not illegal to eat while driving, anything that takes your attention away from the road is distracting, and the police can prosecute for careless driving.’.
