INEOS hit back as Man Utd owners sued by All Blacks over controversial deal INEOS have explained that ‘cost-saving measures’ has led to their bitter legal battle with the New Zealand Rugby team.
A statement from the All Blacks read: "Having learned of Ineos' decision to walk away three years early, we have moved to protect the interests of New Zealand Rugby and the wider game.
A statement read: “Ineos has greatly valued our sponsorship of New Zealand Rugby, having contributed over USD $30million to the teams in recent years.
As part of that agreement, Ineos’ name featured across the team’s training gear and on warm-up kits during the recent Autumn internationals.
“Unfortunately, rather than working towards a managed solution, New Zealand Rugby have chosen to pursue legal action against their sponsor.
