Deep beneath the surface of Gerwyn Price's home lies a sanctuary of leisure and legacy – something 'The Iceman' undoubtedly hopes Alexandra Palace will become for him in the coming days. Price, 39, faces Joe Cullen for a place in the fourth round of the World Darts Championship today (December 27). Having underwhelmed in the three years since his 2021 triumph, the Welshman will be laser-focused on becoming just the seventh multi-time champion in the tournament's history this time around.

But as the tension rises at the oche, it's a different story at Price's home in Markham, a village in Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. In the basement, he's built a luxury retreat where triumphs are toasted and tensions are very much released. It's a meticulously-crafted man-cave, filled to the brim with entertainment and achievement – an apt reflection of Price's professional career, his larger-than life personality, and his unyielding drive. Here, Mirror Sport takes you inside the stunning, state of the art room, showcasing the features that make it the ultimate champion's retreat.

The massive room is split into different zones, and one such corner has been turned into a cinema space. A 100" 4K TV – fit with 12 'Artcoustic' surround-sound speakers – stretches across the wall opposite a cosy five-person L-shaped sofa and an equally-cosy-looking lounge chair – upholstered from his old darts shirts, no less.
