Despite his ongoing feud with twin brother Ben, Olly Murs shared what a traditional Murs family Christmas looks like. The 40 year old former X Factor star has been largely silent about his relationship with Ben, whom he hasn't seen since a heated argument in 2009. The dispute began when Olly missed his brother's wedding and best man duties to compete on The X Factor. He previously admitted that the feud had left him grappling with "loneliness" as he and Ben led their "separate lives". "When you've been in the womb with someone, you struggle with loneliness," Olly confessed to The Times. "I had to deal with it when my twin and I went on our separate lives. I was desperate to be around people, could not sit in a room alone.".
Despite the row, the Murs family's Christmas celebrations carried on as usual. Olly once revealed: "Christmas in the Murs household is full of rituals. My dad is given the job of cooking everyone bacon muffins to start the day off. Then we'll have my sister, brother-in-law and nephew round with my aunty and uncle, cousins and Nana and Pops," reports OK!. "We'll take it in turns to open our presents around the tree and mum will always cook the Christmas dinner. And it's not a Murs Christmas without all of us falling asleep in front of an old Christmas movie." Since the big news, Olly has embraced life as both a husband and father to his daughter Madi.
