Inspiration behind Disney+ 'captivating' crime drama, episode list and release schedule

A 'captivating' new crime drama now streaming on Disney+ actually started life elsewhere, while fans can expect to face a wait before the release of every episode. Kaitlin Olson stars in High Potential as Morgan, a mother of three and cleaner who is soon hired as a consultant to the LAPD after it is discovered she has an uncanny talent for figuring out the unsolvable.
The series' premise was originally the basis of a French Belgian drama production. Fans who have already watched the opening episode have dubbed it "captivating and compelling.". That series was known as HPI, which stood for the French phrase Haut potentiel intellectuel, which unsurprisingly translates into English as 'high intellectual potential', and is used as an alternative term for gifted. In the original series, Audrey Fleurot plays Morgane Alvaro, who is an intellectually highly gifted housekeeper who also becomes a consultant for a police division that investigates serious crime in Lille and helps solve several cases thanks to her sharp mind.
There have currently been 32 episodes made across four series broadcast in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. The first seven episodes of the remake High Potential are expected to be available together on Disney+ from January 23. However, that will not be the complete series on the platform. Below are the first batch of episode names that viewers can watch from that date and their synopsis.
Episode one - Pilot. Morgan, a night-time cleaner at an LAPD station, knocks over a murder case file while working. While she picks up the files and photos, she also determines some key details are incorrect and makes a note on the case board. The police call her in, enraged, but soon realise she could help them solve the mystery.
