On the ITV programme, Ben Shephard told the audience that Gyles was running on little sleep due to his recent trip back from the States on Sunday.
Gyles shared that he managed to hit the stage for a performance just hours after landing in Britain, commenting: "It teaches me that maybe you only need two or three hours sleep after all.".
