After the Reds' 5-0 disposal of West Ham on Sunday, Salah revealed that negotiations are not progressing at this time and insisted that he is solely focused on Liverpool's on-field aims this season.

'No, we are far away from that,' he said, when asked if there are any positive updates on the situation. 'I don't want to put something in the media and people start saying stuff, but nothing really [has] moved on. 'But for now I'm focused on the team and hopefully we win the Premier League.'.

Despite these comments, Carragher insisted that he is not worried about the future of Salah or Virgil van DIjk, who is also out of a contract in summer 2025. Maybe I'm being too optimistic.
'But I can't see a situation where Mo Salah is not starting at Liverpool next season.'.
