Jamie Carragher lie leads Chelsea star to reveal private Thomas Tuchel talks live on Sky Sports

Jamie Carragher tricked Noni Madueke into revealing all of the details about a private chat with England boss Thomas Tuchel after his latest goal. Madueke, 22, played a key role in Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Wolves on Monday - the winger netting the third goal of the game. It also saw the England star extend his excellent form against the Black Country side.
He also scored a hat-trick at Molineux earlier this season, that coming after he had apologised for a less-than complimentary Snapchat post about the city of Wolverhampton. Madueke now has six Premier League goals for the campaign - form he will hope is good enough to impress incoming England boss Tuchel.
The winger had actually spoken to the German ahead of his most recent outing but only revealed that fact after an amusing fib from Carragher. Speaking on Monday Night Football, the ex-Liverpool defender said: “Noni, Thomas Tuchel was watching the game tonight, we spoke to him just after the game and he said you were the standout figure. You must be really pleased about that?”.
With host David Jones laughing throughout, Madueke replied: “I spoke to him earlier this week and we had a laugh about the game. I told him I scored a hat-trick in the earlier fixture and he said ‘well you better score again then’. I’m happy that I was able to do so and chuffed that he thought I played well today.”.
Jones then intervened to come clean on Carragher’s claim. He said: “I feel like I need to clarify Noni, Jamie’s having one of his wind ups,” which triggered laughter from Madueke, who said: “Nah that’s a good one… that’s well played from you.”.
