Jamie Carragher names three players who mean Arsenal will NOT win Premier League

Arsenal's title hopes were dealt a fresh blow on Saturday, and Jamie Carragher has named three senior stars who will stand in the way of the Gunners catching league leaders Liverpool. Saturday felt to some like a pivotal day in the title race. Two late goals from Darwin Nunez were enough for Liverpool to break down Brentford's resistance, and Arsenal's hopes of responding with a win of their own fell short.
Mikel Arteta's side went 2-0 up early in the second half against Aston Villa, only for Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins to rescue a point for the visitors. While the result owed a lot to the Gunners switching off at the back, Carragher believes the attacking options in North London could be the deciding factor.
Bukayo Saka was already missing with a hamstring injury when team-mate Gabriel Jesus was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with an ACL problem. And Carragher isn't convinced what's left of the forward line is good enough. Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Carragher was joined by former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit. French midfielder Petit was part of the side that hauled in Manchester United to win the league in 1997-98, but Carragher dismissed any chance of a repeat.
"I'll give you three reasons [why Arsenal can't win the league],” Carragher said. "They had [Marc] Overmars, [Nicolas] Anelka and Dennis Bergkamp. This team, at the moment, is playing with [Gabriel] Martinelli, [Leandro] Trossard and [Kai] Havertz, it's not enough.".
