Jamie Redknapp SLAMS Son Heung-min and questions his credentials as Tottenham captain after Carabao Cup humbling against Liverpool

Jamie Redknapp pulled no punches as he questioned Son Heung-min's credentials as Tottenham captain after their defeat to Liverpool on Thursday night. The north London side crashed out of the Carabao Cup semi-final after a 4-0 loss at Anfield saw the Reds clinch a 4-1 aggregate victory and book a place at Wembley in March. Spurs struggled in the second leg clash and failed to register a single shot on target in the match as they're attacking line failed to click on the night.

Club captain Son Heung-min - who has underperformed by his standards this year - was barely noticeable in the match and, afterwards, came under fire from Redknapp. Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp said: 'The message has to come from the players as well. There have been some lows, but that today is horrendous.'. Carragher agreed with his colleague, and went onto claim that the defeat was symptomatic of a poor mentality at Tottenham.

Redknapp questioned the South Korean's credentials as Spurs captain after the defeat. Virgil van Dijk and Mohammed Salah both scored against Spurs in the Carabao Cup clash.
