Son Heung-min shone the searchlight on Tottenham’s floundering players after a fourth successive defeat turned up the heat on Ange Postecoglou. As he surveyed the wreckage of a dismal 2-1 home defeat by lowly Leicester, which dumped Spurs in the bottom six, the shellshocked captain accused them of lacking concentration, sloppiness and admitted: “It’s not good enough.”.

Everything was coming out Sonny side up for head coach Postecoglou when Tottenham were top of the Premier League after 10 games last season. But since that view from the summit, they have taken 64 points from 51 games - mid-table form at best - and the recent run is a worrying five points from the last available 33.

Skipper Son was fuming after Leicester’s ambush of two goals in five minutes immediately after half-time caught Spurs napping on Sunday and he admitted: "It is very painful. What can I say?. “Especially when you’re winning at half-time and conceding two goals in a short period of time. It let us down and it’s very frustrating.

"We can’t just (blame) tiredness because we had just came out for the second half. Maybe it was a little bit sloppy, it is not individual mistakes, generally everything is just combining together. "It is just a lack of concentration and a bit of sloppiness, and in the Premier League table any team can punish us.
