Jurgen Klopp wants just one role in the ongoing legal battle between Manchester City and the Premier League - to buy the beer. The former Liverpool boss is now with Red Bull as their Head of Global Soccer. But despite no longer being in the dugout at Anfield, he could still lead the Reds to two further Premier League titles.

Klopp of course ended Liverpool’s long wait for a domestic crown in 2020. And he came very close in 2019 and 2022, with City running out winners by just a solitary point on both occasions. It has been suggested that Pep Guardiola’s side could see those crowns stripped from them as their bitter battle over their 130 Premier League charges goes on. City continue to insist on their innocence, but asked how he would react if they were found guilty and stripped of title, it appears that Klopp is ready to host a party.

Speaking a Q&A session at his new role as head of football for Red Bull, the German replied: "Did you say few months or three? Ah okay. We're getting closer [to a decision]. Should? I don't say anything. Would? We had this discussion when we left, if it would happen I told all the people who want it, just book the flight and I buy the beer.

"Whatever we have to celebrate, good weather, we would have our own parade in my garden. God what a headline. We will see. I didn't follow it all. I'm surprised you're telling me it's two months away. Let's see.". And while Klopp is getting ready to potentially toast becoming a three-time Premier League champion, his long-time rival Guardiola is not prepared to relinquish his crowns quite yet. Speaking in 2023, he claimed he would still consider those seasons to belong to Man City.
