Juventus have reportedly rejected the chance to sign Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford. Rashford has not featured for his side since the Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen in Czechia, having admitted in a bombshell interview that he is 'ready for a new challenge'.

The forward has since not featured for United, sitting out each of the last four games, three of which have ended in defeats for the Old Trafford club. Juve are looking to bolster their squad in January and The Sun claim Rashford has been offered to them.

However, the Italian giants are said to be more interested in signing Rashford's team-mate Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutchman has failed to make much of an impact since his £36.5m move from Bologna in the summer. . He has contributed just four goals and two assists in 26 appearances with many fans questioning the signing.

However, his reputation remains strong in Italy and Juventus boss Thiago Motta thinks he can get the best out of him. Motta was Zirkzee's manager at Bologna and a reunion could suit both parties should United be willing to let him go. Amorim kept his cards close to his chest when the questions naturally turned to the absent star following Thursday's 2-0 defeat at Wolves.

'It's always the same reason it's going to be,' he told Prime Video when asked about Rashford. 'We have to be the same professionals, the same guys, winning or losing. Losing, I have to be stronger. I will continue with my idea until the end.'. 'If he's not here, you can make your mind up,' the Man United head coach added.
