Kate Middleton wore high-street favourite Zara as she visited a children’s hospice in Wales today. The Princess of Wales met families at Tŷ Hafan hospice, near Cardiff, which helps to ensure children with life-shortening illnesses lead fulfilling lives. The 43-year-old opted for a black and white Zara plaid dress, which features a pussy bow and v-neck line, with long sleeves. She accessorised the outfit with black block heels, and a pair of Spells of Love gold earrings, which retailed for £80, but are currently not available.
The calf-length dress is also no longer available on the Zara website, but previously retailed for £89.99. It’s now available on eBay for as little as £30. Kate previously wore the same Zara dress when visiting the site of the Aberfan disaster in 2023. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web

video. Up Next. And it’s not the first time that the Princess of Wales has shown her love for high-street staple Zara.
She famously wore a pair of Zara earrings to the BAFTA awards in 2023, which cost an affordable £18. Naturally, the earrings quickly sold out via Zara online. As a result, the cascading floral earrings were then spotted on eBay for more than £100. Announced as the new royal patron of the Tŷ Hafan hospice, The Princess of Wales is also honouring the legacy of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who was the first patron, before it had even begun construction, until her death in 1997.
During Kate’s visit to the hospice, which officially opened its doors in 1999, the Princess will join a ‘stay and play’ session, she will also meet with bereaved families. It’s been a busy week for the mum-of-three so far, who attended an emotional Holocaust Memorial Day event on Monday, January 27. Kate was joined her husband the Prince of Wales, who described their attendance as ‘a great honour’, at Guildhall in central London on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
The annual event remembers the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust, as well as the millions of other people killed under Nazi persecution. The Princess of Wales is making a gradual return to work after undergoing cancer treatment last year. Speaking at a public engagement earlier this month, when visiting cancer patients at the Royal Marsden, she said that she was doing well, but recalled the cycle of treatment saying ‘sometimes you feel relatively well, and then you have another one.
‘Sometimes from the outside we all think you’ve finished treatment and you go back to things. But it’s hard to get back to normal.’. Do you have a story to share?. Get in touch by emailing MetroLifestyleTeam@Metro.co.uk. Arrow
