The Prince and Princess of Wales have enjoyed a long Christmas holiday spending precious time with their three children. But it seems that is all set to come to an end very soon with the royal couple heading back to reality with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. During the festive break, the Wales family headed to Anmer Hall, their country retreat in Norfolk, where they spend most school holidays.

There, they would have spent quality family time together and as it's on the Sandringham estate, they were all close by to join King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family for Christmas celebrations. However, as the three children head back to Lambrook School tomorrow (January 8) it means William, Kate and the kids will have to travel back to Windsor to their Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor in order for the children to be ready to be back at class at nearby Lambrook on Wednesday.

It will also mean that Kate will spend her 43rd birthday on Thursday in Windsor, with William and their three children no doubt wanting to spoil Kate on her big day. It comes as exactly one year ago, the Prince and Princess of Wales were facing a very uncertain 2024.

Twelve months ago, Kate was admitted to hospital for major abdominal surgery and then weeks later, she revealed her cancer diagnosis and how she would be starting treatment. After stepping away from the public eye for most of the year, she completed her chemotherapy - and in the last few months has made a gradual return to royal life. And at the end of 2024, she took part in the Royal Family's annual walk to church on Christmas Day at Sandringham, where she beamed as she was inundated with flowers and gifts from kind wellwishers.
