Katie Boulter's engagement to Alex de Minaur, 'terrible' situation and combined net worth

Katie Boulter has shared her reservations about the potential of going head-to-head with her fiance, Alex de Minaur, at the United Cup in Australia. The British star, 28, alongside playing partner Charles Broom, stormed to victory in her opening match of the mixed doubles against Argentina, clinching impressive scores of 7-6(4) and 7-5 against Maria Carle and Tomas Etcheverry. The possibility looms that on New Year's Day, Boulter could knock out the host nation when Britain clash with Australia in Sydney.
However, Boulter has previously confided her reluctance to face De Minaur, her off-court beau and Wimbledon mixed doubles partner, in the tournament. Before the competition began, Boulter revealed: "I don't know about having a match against him, I think that's going to be terrible, and a bit of a popcorn match. But yeah, let's hope we don't reach there and we win before.
"It's a tough situation. He was smiling when I came off the court because we kept them in it, so he's happy. I'm just looking forward to a battle. I don't know what's going to happen on the day. I just have to keep my head down and try not to think too much about it, but we're both going to be fighting for it. We both want it. We both are competitive.".
Boulter can breathe a sigh of relief as it seems she won't be squaring off against De Minaur in Wednesday's match. Instead, the United Cup's website has Ellen Perez and Matthew Ebden down as the opponents for her and Broom. But away from the court, what do we know about Boulter and De Minaur's romance? Here, Mirror Sport breaks it down...
